Waste & Recycling Company Fined Thousands Over Repeated Asbestos and Welfare Failures
A UK waste and recycling company has been fined £36,000 following an investigation by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). The prosecution was brought after inspectors found the firm had repeatedly failed to provide suitable welfare facilities and mandatory asbestos awareness training for its staff - issues that had drawn HSE enforcement action on several previous occasions over an 11-year period.
